The Millersville University chapter of Student PSEA is run by passionate, involved, and creative group of individuals. Executive Board members are responsible for the duties associated with their position and collaborate with other board members on numerous projects. In order to run this organization, the Executive Board meets once a month do discuss upcoming events, meetings, and any other projects that may be of interest to the group.

President: Rachel Bye

My name is Rachel Bye and I am the President of Millersville's chapter of Student PSEA. I am is a junior studying Early Childhood and Special Education. I hope to one day work with elementary-aged students with autism. I also have a special interest in political action and hope to continue our chapter's high level of involvement in education politics.
Secretary: Lindsay Saienni

My name is Lindsay Saienni and I am the Secretary of SPSEA and the Vice President of Study Buddies. I am an Early Childhood and Special Education major with the hope of being an inclusive elementary school teacher. I currently work for the Career and Life Studies inclusive education program on campus as well as a substitute for Hempfield, Manheim Central, and Avon Grove School Districts. Aside from her love for education, she enjoys US history, reading, and taking hikes with her family and friends.
Historian: Melissa Sheffer

My name is Melissa Sheffer and I am a junior Early Childhood/Special Education Dual major with a minor in Integrative STEM Education here at MU.This year I am serving as the Historian for SPSEA at Millersville. I am excited to see what kind of professional development opportunities we have this year for our members!
PACE Chair: John Tintera

My name is John Tintera, and I am the Political Action Committee on Education (PACE) Chairman for Millersville’s Chapter of SPSEA. I am Majoring in Early and Special Education Dual Major with a minor in Government and Political Affairs. I have always been interested in educational issues as well as issues plaguing our society and nation. This is my second semester being on the executive board here at Millersville, and I am extremely excited for whats to come!
Vice President: Nicole Bauchman

My name is Nicole Bachman and I have had the honor of being Vice President Millersville SPSEA. I am a senior dual Early Childhood and Special Education major, and I aspire to be a special education teacher when I graduate from Millersville. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of my academic opportunities at Millersville University, and I am looking forward to student teaching in the fall!
Treasurer: Samantha Petrizzi

My name is Sam Petrizzi. I am an Early Childhood and Special Education major at Millersville University. I have been a member of SPSEA for about two years and I have been the treasurer for one year. In the future, I see myself teaching students with hearing impairments or students diagnosed as having autism. I also would like to teach Kindergarten one day.
Publicist: Jessica Crilley

My name is Jess Crilley and I am the publicist for SPSEA. I am a Early Childhood/Special Education major with a Psychology minor. During my freshman and sophomore year at Millersville I played on the women's tennis team. In the summer I work as a tennis coach/counselor for ESF camp and during the school year I am a Career and Life Studies Coach here at Millersville.
Study Buddies President: Victoria Gillan


My name is Victoria Gillan, and I am an Early Childhood Special Education Dual Major. As a member of the SPSEA board, it is my responsibility to run Study Buddies. I am on the SHARP team and I am also on the Orientation Planning Committee. When I am not in class or working I like to spend time with my family, friends, and my dog. One of my favorite things to do is to go to the beach with a couple of friends and play soccer on the beach!
Millersville SPSEA Adviser: Dr. William Himmele

Dr. William Himmele is the adviser for the Millersville University Chapter of SPSEA. Dr. Himmele works in the Early, Middle, and Exceptional Education Department at Millersville University. He has special interests in research and English Language Learner Education.
