Membership Development
We have increased our membership since last year. This was accomplished thought membership development activities and professional development opportunities for education majors.

The secretary for the executive board, Lindsay Saienni, sends out detailed emails including meeting minutes. These emails are sent out to all members of SPSEA at Millersville

The Executive Board Uses googledocs as a way for the executive board and general members to sign up for events and other opportunities.

During Superfest, students of Millersville University came out to participate in games that Millersville University organizations were hosting. Millersville SPSEA had a game called, "Can You Make It To Graduation" where we asked students questions a student in that grade would know. MU SPSEA gave participants information about the club.

During the month of February, members of Millersville SPSEA were invited to design a t-shirt for our club for the year. ​We had two submitted designs, and they were voted on during our March 6 meeting. The grey and red shirt design was the chosen shirt design.

To start off the spring semester, Millersville's Chapter of SPSEA participated in the spring edition of the Organization Outbreak.​ We gave students information about SPSEA, what we do, who we are, and when our upcoming meeting dates are. Students were invited to come to our first meeting!

This year executive board members of the Millersville SPSEA have visited numerous classes in the education department. During these visits, members have invited students to attend one of the meetings and informed them of all of the great opportunities that come along with being a member of the student section of PSEA.

The publicist for the Millersville SPSEA has the responsibility to decorate and update the MU SPSEA ​bulletin board. This year, Jessica Crilley redesigned the bulletin board.

Millersville SPSEA utilizes Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to communicate with members about current opportunities and to reflect on opportunities we have participated in. The Facebook page to the left is a live feed of our Facebook page. The Twitter button is linked to our page, and the picture below are live from our Instagram.
MU SPSEA holds monthly meetings​ for members. At the beginning of each meeting we go over the purpose of SPSEA and what opportunities it offers because we get new members frequently. We also include step by step directions on each agenda for each meeting.

The executive board also hold meetings the week before each the general meetings to talk about the agenda, new business, old business, and upcoming programs.

Members of the Millersville University Chapter of SPSEA traveled to Shippensburg University in February to attend the regional conference. The members who went to the conference got to attend breakout sessions in educational areas they have an interest in. Additionally, Dr. Chris Clayton presented as the keynote speaker for the conference. During his speech, he spoke on effective classroom management based research.
